Ashkenazi Jews in Israel are immigrants and descendants of the immigrants of the Ashkenazi Jewish communities, who now reside within the state of Israel. They number 2.8 million (full or partial Ashkenazi Jewish descent) and they constitute the second-largest Jewish ethnic community within the state of Israel after the Mizrahi Jews.
