diphyodont mammals. In old world simians (including humans), there are thirty-two permanent teeth, consisting of six
maxillary and six
mandibular molars, four maxillary and four mandibular
premolars, two maxillary and two mandibular
canines, four maxillary and four mandibular
incisors.
