Sean Compton is an American radio and television executive who grew up in Connersville, Indiana. He currently serves as President of Strategic Programming and Acquisition for Chicago based Tribune Company. Compton joined Tribune Company in 2008 responsible for programming 42 television stations which includes LocalTV llc. Compton also founded and oversees multicast television network Antenna TV. In 2015 Compton made big TV news with the return of Johnny Carson to the airwaves. Working with the Carson estate and the entertainment unions he was able to secure the Carson rights for broadcast, first time since Carson's departure in 1992.
