Besishahar is a municipality and the district headquarters of Lamjung District in Gandaki Zone, Nepal. The Besishahar Municipality was formed by merging the existing Village Development Committees i.e. Besishahar, Gaunshahar, Udipur and Chandisthan on May 15, 2014.
