Carpet Bowls is a variant of Indoor Bowls. Originating in England,it is played particularly in the South of England, although it is played at League and County level in
East Anglia, the
Midlands and the North. A small of players also exist in
Eastern Townships,
Quebec,
Canada. The term "carpet" is not helpful in this respect, as many people upon hearing of the game assume it is a trivial indoor game for the home.
