Irish mythology,
Danu (; modern Irish
Dana ) is a hypothetical
mother goddess of the
Tuatha Dé Danann (Old Irish: "The peoples of the goddess Danu"). Though primarily seen as an ancestral figure, some Victorian sources also associate her with the land.
