The Army of the Republic of Macedonia is the name of the armed forces of the Republic of Macedonia. Responsible for defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Macedonia from foreign hostiles, the Macedonian military is a defence force consisting of an Army (Армија) and Air Force (Воено Воздухопловство). From 2005 the army is composed entirely of professionals and volunteer soldiers, fully transformed into a professional army compatible with NATO standards.
