configuration which places the
camshaft
of an
internal combustion engine
of the
reciprocating type
within the
cylinder heads
('above' the
pistons
and
combustion chambers
) and drives the
valves
or
lifters
in a more direct manner compared to
overhead valves
(OHV) and pushrods.
