In Greek mythology, Tyndareus ( ) was a Spartan king, son of Oebalus (or Perieres) and Gorgophone (or Bateia), husband of Leda , father of Castor, Clytemnestra, Timandra, Phoebe and Philonoe, and stepfather of Helen of Troy and Pollux.
