Relics of Muhammad
Some streams of Islam have a tradition of venerating the relics attributed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad; others warn that this practice can lead to the sin of shirk (idolatry). The most genuine relics are believed to be those housed in Istanbul's Topkapi Palace, in a section known as Hirkai Serif Odasi (Chamber of the Holy Mantle).
