Piano Solo ("Alone Plan") was an envisaged plot for an Italian coup in 1964 requested by then President of the Italian Republic, Antonio Segni. It was prepared by the commander of the Carabinieri Giovanni de Lorenzo in the beginning of 1964 in close collaboration with the Italian secret service  SIFAR, CIA secret warfare expert Vernon Walters, William Harvey, then chief of the CIA station in Rome, and Renzo Rocca, director of the Gladio units within the military secret service SID.

The piano is often used to provide harmonic accompaniment to a voice or other instrument. However, solo parts for the piano are common in many musical styles. These can take the form of a section in which the piano is heard more prominently than other instruments, or in which the piano may be played entirely unaccompanied.

Piano, solo is a 2007 Italian drama film directed by Riccardo Milani. It is based on the book by Walter Veltroni Il disco del mondo - Vita breve di Luca Flores, musicista and it depicts real life events of jazz pianist and composer Luca Flores ().
