Antioch
Antioch on the Orontes (; also Syrian Antioch) was an ancient Greek - Roman city on the eastern side of the Orontes River. Its ruins lie near the modern city of Antakya, Turkey, and lends the modern city its name.

Antiochia am Orontes
Antiochia am Orontes oder Antiochien ( Antiócheia he epì Oróntou, auch Antiócheia he Megále, ‚Antiocheia die Große‘; ) war eine Stadt im antiken Syrien (heute Antakya in der Türkei). Sie ist der bekannteste und mit Abstand bedeutendste mehrerer antiker Orte dieses Namens, die von verschiedenen Königen der Seleukidendynastie gegründet wurden. In römischer Zeit war sie neben dem ägyptischen Alexandria und (später) Konstantinopel eine der größten und bedeutendsten Städte im östlichen Mittelmeerraum.
