Asgard

In Norse religion, Asgard (; "Enclosure of the Æsir") is one of the Nine Worlds and home to the Æsir tribe of gods. It is surrounded by an incomplete wall attributed to a Hrimthurs riding the stallion Svaðilfari, according to Gylfaginning. Odin and his wife, Frigg, are the rulers of Asgard.

Åsskard is a village and a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village of Åsskard is located at the innermost part of the Åsskardfjorden in the western part of Surnadal Municipality, about northwest of the village of Sylte. The village is the site of Åsskard Church.
