Athena
Athena (; Attic Greek: , Athena, or , Athenaia; Epic: , Athenaie; Doric: , Athana) or Athene (; Ionic: , Athene), often given the epithet Pallas (; ), is the goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, mathematics, olive oil, strength, war strategy, the arts, crafts, and skill in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Minerva is the Roman goddess identified with Athena. Athena is known for her calm temperament, as she moves slowly to anger. She is noted to have only fought for just reasons, and would not fight without a purpose.

Athene oder Athena ist eine Göttin der griechischen Mythologie. Sie ist die Göttin der Weisheit, der Strategie und des Kampfes, der Kunst, des Handwerks und der Handarbeit sowie Schutzgöttin und Namensgeberin der griechischen Stadt Athen. Sie gehört zu den zwölf olympischen Gottheiten, den Olympioi. Ihr entspricht die römische Göttin Minerva.

Pallas Athena
Pallas Athena (ook Athena of Athene) (Attisch: , Pallás Athêna, , Athéne) is een van de voornaamste godinnen uit het Griekse pantheon. Zij is de godin van de hemel, en wel van de heldere, klare hemel, van de reine, zuivere bovenlucht (aether). In de Griekse mythologie is zijzelf even rein als die lucht. Daarom bleef haar maagdelijkheid steeds ongerept. Zij is vooral bekend als de godin van de wijsheid en godin van de kunst. Daarnaast wordt ze vaak genoemd als godin van de krijgskunst en vrede.

Athéna
Athéna ou Athéné (en attique ou en ionien ) est une déesse de la mythologie grecque, identifiée à Minerve chez les Romains. Elle est également appelée « Pallas Athéna », déesse de la sagesse, de la stratégie militaire, des artisans, des artistes et des maîtres d'école.

Advanced Telescope for High ENergy Astrophysics
L ou ATHENA' (anciennement ou IXO) est un projet observatoire spatial à rayons X développé par l'Agence spatiale européenne (ESA) et la JAXA (agence spatiale japonaise). ATHENA est une mission lourde () du programme européen Cosmic Vision en compétition avec d'autres missions scientifiques également candidates pour un lancement au début des années 2020. ATHENA remplace les projets XEUS et proposés auparavant respectivement par l'ESA et la NASA. Début 2012 les caractéristiques de la mission sont en cours de refonte à la suite de l'abandon de la participation de la NASA en 2011.
