David and Jonathan
David (Hebrew: ; Dāwīḏ or David) and Jonathan (Hebrew: ; Yəhōnāṯān or Yehonatan) were heroic figures of the Kingdom of Israel, who formed a covenant of friendship recorded in the books of Samuel.
