Dans ce film, Kajol joue un double rôle, celui de sœurs jumelles. L’une des productrices du film, Pooja Bhatt, est également actrice. Le film est une reprise du film américain Au-delà des lois de John Schlesinger sorti en 1996.

W rolach głównych Sanjay Dutt, Kajol i nagrodzony za tę rolę debiutant Ashutosh Rana. Producentką filmu jest aktorka Pooja Bhatt. Tematem filmu jest gwałt, ból po śmierci kogoś bliskiego, daremne szukanie sprawiedliwości, obrony poprzez prawo, zemsta w odpowiedzi na krzywdę, miłość rodzącą się z obrony przed krzywdą i z wiary w kogoś, a także strach przed zaangażowaniem. W centrum filmu pokazano rosnącą siłę kobiety.
