The Edda Award is an accolade bestowed by The Icelandic Film and Television Academy (Íslensku Kvikmynda- og Sjónvarpsverðlaunin), and is the most prominent film and television award in Iceland. The Edda has been awarded for outstanding work in various categories of film and television annually since 1999. No awards were held in 2009.
