Eowa (or
Eawa) was a son of the
Mercian king
Pybba and a brother of the Mercian king
Penda, of which he is thought to have been a co-ruler, as the King of Northern Mercia, as he is said to have been co-ruler with his brother Penda in the
Historia Brittonum, which was written in the 8th century, two hundred years after his life.
