Hydrostatic

Hydrostatics is the branch of fluid mechanics that studies incompressible fluids at rest. It encompasses the study of the conditions under which fluids are at rest in stable equilibrium as opposed to fluid dynamics, the study of fluids in motion. Hydrostatics are categorized as a part of the fluid statics, which is the study of all fluids, incompressible or not, at rest.

Der Hydrostatische Druck (griech. ὕδωρ hýdor, Wasser), auch Gravitationsdruck oder Schweredruck, ist der Druck, der sich innerhalb eines ruhenden Fluids, das ist eine Flüssigkeit oder ein Gas, durch den Einfluss der Gravitation einstellt. Der Begriff wird entgegen der Wortbedeutung „Wasser“ auch für andere Flüssigkeiten und sogar für Gase verwendet. Dynamischer Druck durch Fluidströmungen wie z. B. der Staudruck wird vom hydrostatischen Druck nicht erfasst, er betrachtet nur ruhende, statische Fluide.

Hydrostatische druk is de druk die uitgeoefend wordt door een statische vloeistof op een lichaam op bepaalde diepte in die vloeistof.

Ciśnienie hydrostatyczne – ciśnienie wynikające z ciężaru cieczy znajdującej się w polu grawitacyjnym. Analogiczne ciśnienie w gazie określane jest mianem ciśnienia aerostatycznego. Ciśnienie hydrostatyczne nie zależy od wielkości i kształtu zbiornika, a zależy wyłącznie od głębokości. Ciśnienie to określa wzór:
