Kovac's reagent
Kovac's reagent is a biochemical reagent consisting of isoamyl alcoholpara-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and concentrated hydrochloric acid. It is used for the diagnostical indole test, to determine the ability of the organism to split indole from the amino acid tryptophan.
