List of state boarding schools in England and Wales

There are 38 state boarding schools in England and one in Wales, providing state-funded education but charging for boarding. In addition, the Five Islands School provides free boarding during the week to secondary students from other islands. The Durand Academy in Stockwell also provides free weekly boarding at a site near Midhurst.
