Lower Burgundy was a historical kingdom in what is now southeastern
France, so-called because it was lower down the
Rhone Valley than
Upper Burgundy. Lower Burgundy is sometimes called the Kingdom of
Arelat or the Kingdom of Cisjurane Burgundy.
