Manchester Piccadilly station
Manchester Piccadilly is the principal railway station in Manchester, England. Opened as Store Street in 1842 and renamed Manchester London Road in 1847, it serves intercity destinations such as London (Euston)BirminghamBristolSouthamptonSouth Wales and Glasgow as well as other destinations throughout Northern England including LiverpoolLeedsSheffieldNewcastle and York. The station consists of 14 platforms; 12 of which are terminal platforms, the other two are through platforms situated to the south of the train shed. Two platforms for the Metrolink light rail network are located in the station's undercroft.
