Mary Sweeney is an American
film producer, director, writer and
film editor, who collaborated for 20 years with the avant-garde American film director,
David Lynch. Sweeney worked with Lynch on several critically acclaimed films and television series, most notably on
Twin Peaks TV (1990), Lost Highway, (1997), The Straight Story, (1999), and Mulholland Drive (2001). Sweeney is the Dino and Martha De Laurentiis Endowed Professor in the Writing Division of the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California. She is the Chair of the Film Independent Board of Directors.
