MellowHype was an American hip hop duo from Los Angeles, California, that consists of rapper Hodgy Beats (Gerard Long) and producer Left Brain (Vyron Turner). Both were members of hip hop collective Odd Future. They have released 3 studio albums, YelloWhite, BlackenedWhite, and Numbers. A mixtape was scheduled for 2012, however, the group released one free song each day for seven days beginning on September 11, 2012, for what they called "MELLOWHYPEWEEK". On October 31, 2013, the group released MellowHigh, a collaboration album with Odd Future member Domo Genesis. In 2014 they released their mixtape "INSA" also known as "Ineedsomeanswers" on July 4th.
