Morang District ( ), a part of Koshi Zone in Terai-Madhesh plain of proposed Limbuwan State, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal. The district, with Biratnagar as its district headquarters, covers an area of and has a population (2011) of 965,370. The district has a diversity of cultures and religions.
