Namsky District
Namsky District (; ) is an administrative and municipal district (raion, or ulus), one of the thirty-four in the Sakha RepublicRussia. The district is located in the center of the republic and borders with Ust-Aldansky District in the east, Megino-Kangalassky District in the southeast, the territory of the city of republic significance of Yakutsk in the south, Gorny District in the west, and with Kobyaysky District in the north. The area of the district is . Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Namtsy. Population: 21,454 (2002 Census); The population of Namtsy accounts for 38.3% of the district's total population.
