Non-Hispanic whites or
whites not of Hispanic or Latino origin are people in the
United States, as defined by the
Census Bureau, who are of the
white race and are not of
Hispanic or Latino origin/ethnicity. Non-Hispanic whites are a subcategory of
white Americans, the other being
white Hispanic and Latino Americans. There is sufficient discussion about race being scientifically unfounded. Though the U.S. Census Bureau provides statistics; the characterizations associated with its groupings have little meaning, though commonly held. An experiment one can observe today, is observing the background and dominant ink on this page - neither is descriptive or provides accurate depiction of any large population of people to be established as a category. Observation is at the core of scientific methods and inquiry. Empirically the current construct for race is faulty. Therefore the linking of a faulty construct with the subject, diminishes the explanation.
