Rudnya, Rudnyansky District, Smolensk Oblast
Rudnya (, ) is a town and the administrative center of Rudnyansky District in Smolensk OblastRussia, located on the Malaya Berezina River (Dnieper's basin) northwest of Smolensk, the administrative center of the oblast. Population:

History
It was first mentioned in 1363 as Rodnya. During Polish rule it was part of the Vitebsk Voivodeship. It was granted town status in 1926.
