Türkiye

Turkey (; ), officially the Republic of Turkey (Turkish: ), is a parliamentary republic in Eurasia, largely located in Western Asia, with the smaller portion of Eastern Thrace in Southeast Europe. Turkey is bordered by eight countries: Syria and Iraq to the south; Iran, Armenia, and the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan to the east; Georgia to the northeast; Bulgaria to the northwest; and Greece to the west. The Black Sea is to the north, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and the Aegean Sea to the west. The Bosphorus, the Sea of Marmara, and the Dardanelles (which together form the Turkish Straits) demarcate the boundary between Thrace and Anatolia; they also separate Europe and Asia. Turkey's location at the crossroads of Europe and Asia makes it a country of significant geostrategic importance.

Die Türkei (amtlich Türkiye Cumhuriyeti (T.C.), ) ist eine demokratische Republik in Vorderasien und Südosteuropa. Der Einheitsstaat ist seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1923 laizistisch und kemalistisch geprägt; er wurde nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg der Nachfolgestaat des Osmanischen Reiches. Der Staatsgründer Mustafa Kemal Atatürk leitete eine Modernisierung der Türkei durch gesellschaftliche und rechtliche Reformen nach dem Vorbild verschiedener europäischer Nationalstaaten ein. Der Human Development Index (Index für menschliche Entwicklung) der Türkei betrug 2014 0,759 (Platz 69 von 187).

Turkije, officieel de Republiek Turkije , is een staat die zowel in Azië als in Europa ligt. Toch wordt de republiek soms geheel tot Europa gerekend, om politieke, geschiedkundige en culturele redenen. Tegenstanders voeren echter aan dat veruit het grootste gedeelte van het land, inclusief de hoofdstad, in Azië ligt. Turkije is een democratische rechtsstaat en een parlementaire republiek met een president aan het hoofd. De hoofdstad en de regeringszetel van het land is Ankara.

La Turquie, en forme longue la République de Turquie, en turc  et , est un pays situé aux confins de l'Asie et de l'Europe. Elle a des frontières avec la Grèce, la Bulgarie, la Géorgie, l'Arménie, l'Azerbaïdjan (Nakhitchevan), l'Iran, l'Irak (Gouvernement régional du Kurdistan) et la Syrie. Il s'agit d'une république parlementaire dont la langue officielle est le turc. Sa capitale est Ankara officiellement depuis le 13 octobre 1923. La Turquie est bordée au nord par la mer Noire, à l'ouest par la mer Égée et au sud par la partie orientale de la mer Méditerranée : le bassin Levantin. La Thrace orientale (Europe) et l'Anatolie (Asie) sont séparés par la mer de Marmara et les détroits du Bosphore à l'est et des Dardanelles à l'ouest (ces deux bras de mer forment ce qu'on appelle les Détroits).
