In Greek mythology, Thaumas (; Θαύμας; gen.: Θαύμαντος; folk etymology "wonder") was a sea god, son of Pontus and Gaia. He married an Oceanid, Electra (or Ozomene). The children of Thaumas and Electra were the Harpies and Iris, the goddess of rainbows and a messenger of the gods; according to some, also Arke.
