Transfiguration of Jesus

The Transfiguration of Jesus is an episode in the New Testament in which Jesus is transfigured (or ) and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. The Synoptic Gospels (, , ) describe it, and refers to it; it has also been hypothesized that the Gospel of John alludes to it in in . Peter, James, John, Jesus, Moses, and Elijah were on the mount of transfiguration.
