Waka

WAKA is the CBS-affiliated television station for Central Alabama's River Region that is licensed to Selma. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 42 (or virtual channel 8.1 via PSIP) from a transmitter in Gordonville. Owned by Bahakel Communications, WAKA is sister to CW affiliate WBMM and ABC affiliate WNCF. However, the latter is actually owned by SagamoreHill Broadcasting but operated by Bahakel through a shared services agreement. All three television outlets share studios on Harrison Road in North Montgomery. Syndicated programming on WAKA includes Wheel of Fortune, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and Jeopardy! among others.

El Perú (also known as Waka' ), is a pre-Columbian Maya archeological site occupied during the Preclassic and Classic cultural chronology periods (roughly 500 BC to 800 AD). The site was the capital of a Maya city-state and is located near the banks of the San Pedro River in the Department of Petén of northern Guatemala. El Perú is west of Tikal.

Ouaka is one of the 14 prefectures of the Central African Republic. It borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo, covers an area of 49,900 km², and has a population of 224,076 (2003 census), giving a population density of under 5 inhabitants/km². The capital is Bambari.

Waka (jap.  japanisches Gedicht), seltener auch Yamato-uta genannt, ist ein Genre der japanischen Dichtkunst. Der Begriff wurde in der Heian-Zeit geprägt, um die in Japan entwickelte Gedichtform vom Kanshi zu unterscheiden, Gedichten, die in chinesischer Sprache und in chinesischen Formen der Dichtung verfasst wurden.

Waka (和歌) o yamato uta es un género de poesía japonesa. "Waka" significa literalmente "poema japonés". La palabra fue originalmente acuñada durante el período Heian para diferenciar a la poesía originaria de Japón de la poesía kenshi (poemas chinos), la cual también era familiar para las clases sociales educadas y altas japonesas.

El Perú (también llamado Waka o Waká) es un sitio arqueológico de la cultura maya que se encuentra cerca de las márgenes del río San Pedro, en el departamento del Petén (Guatemala). Su nombre en la época precolombina fue «Waka'». El sitio muestra ocupación desde el preclásico tardío, hacia el 300 a. C., aunque tuvo su máximo esplendor durante el período Clásico.
