BioScience is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal that is published by Oxford University Press on behalf of the American Institute of Biological Sciences. It was established in 1964 and was preceded by the AIBS Bulletin (1951-1963).

Biotechnology is the use of living systems and organisms to develop or make products, or "any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use" (UN Convention on Biological Diversity, Art. 2). Depending on the tools and applications, it often overlaps with the (related) fields of bioengineering, biomedical engineering, biomanufacturing, etc.

Biologie (von ‚Leben‘ und -logie ‚Lehre‘, abgeleitet aus λόγος lógos) ist die Wissenschaft von den Lebewesen und befasst sich mit allgemeinen Gesetzmäßigkeiten des Lebendigen, speziellen Besonderheiten der Lebewesen, ihrem Aufbau, Organisation und Entwicklung sowie ihren vielfältigen Strukturen und Prozessen. Sie ist ein Teilgebiet der Naturwissenschaften.

BioScience is een internationaal, aan collegiale toetsing onderworpen wetenschappelijk tijdschrift op het gebied van de biologie. Het wordt uitgegeven door University of California Press namens het American Institute of Biological Sciences en verschijnt maandelijks.

Biologie (uit het Grieks: , bíos "leven" en , lógos "leer") is de leer van levende wezens, levensvormen en levensverschijnselen. Biologie wordt gerekend tot de exacte wetenschappen.

BioScience est une revue publiée par l'Institut américain des sciences biologiques (AIBS). Elle est éditée depuis 1964.

La biologie est la science du vivant. Prise au sens large de science du vivant elle recouvre une partie des sciences de la nature et de l'histoire naturelle des êtres vivants (ou ayant vécu). Toutefois la distinction entre organismes vivants et non vivants est parfois difficile et la détermination de l'objet spécifique de la biologie n'a rien d'évident.
