BRIO is a wooden toy company founded in Sweden. The company was founded in the small town of Boalt, Scania in 1884 by basket maker Ivar Bengtsson For a long time the company was based in Osby, Scania, in southern Sweden. In 1908 Ivar's three sons took over and founded BRIO, which is an acronym for BRöderna ("the brothers") Ivarsson [at] Osby. In 2006 the company moved its headquarters to Malmö.

Brio est une société fabriquant des jouets, créée en Suède. Le fondateur est Ivar Bengtsson, fabricant de paniers, qui a commencé à fabriquer des jeux à Osby, Scanie, au sud de la Suède. En 1908, les trois fils d'Ivar ont repris l'activité et fondé BRIO, qui est un acronyme de Bröderna ("frères") Ivarsson [à] Osby. Aujourd'hui les jouets sont encore en bois et fabriqués pour partie à Osby, le village où tout a commencé.

Brio är ett svenskt företag som i huvudsak sysslar med utveckling och försäljning av leksaker och barnvagnar. Det var länge baserat i Osby i nordöstra Skåne, men har numera sitt huvudkontor i Malmö.
