In the human
respiratory system,
eupnea or
eupnoea (
Greek eupnoia; from
eu, well +
pnoia, breath) is normal, good, unlabored
ventilation, sometimes known as
quiet breathing or
resting respiratory rate. In eupnea, expiration employs only the
elastic recoil of the
lungs.
