\hur"tle\ (?), v. i. [imp. & p. p. hurtled (?); p. pr. & vb. n. hurtling (?).] [oe. hurtlen, freq. of hurten. see hurt, v. t., and cf. hurl.]
1. to meet with violence or shock; to clash; to jostle. together hurtled both their steeds.
