A thurible is a metal censer suspended from chains, in which incense is burned during worship services. It is used in Christian churches including the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Armenian Apostolic and Oriental Orthodox, as well as in some Lutheran, Old Catholic, and Anglican churches (with its use almost universal amongst Anglo Catholic Anglican churches). In Roman Catholic, Lutheran, and Anglican churches, the altar server who carries the thurible is called the thurifer. The practice is rooted in the earlier traditions of Judaism in the time of the Second Jewish Temple.

Das Weihrauchfass (lat. Turibulum, auch Thuribulum) ist ein zweiteiliges Gefäß an einer Kettenkonstruktion, das zur Verbrennung von Weihrauch auf glühender Kohle verwendet wird. Es wird in Gottesdiensten der römisch-katholischen, der orthodoxen (byzantinisch- und orientalisch-orthodox), der anglikanischen, der alt-katholischen Kirche, in der Christengemeinschaft und einiger lutherischer Kirchen, vor allem in der Selbständigen Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche eingesetzt.

Un encensoir est un vase fait généralement en métal ou en porcelaine. Dans la liturgie chrétienne catholique romaine latine et orientale ainsi que dans la liturgie orthodoxe, l'encensoir est prévu pour un usage mobile et est généralement suspendu à trois chaînettes pour le suspendre ou le balancer.

Trybularz lub kadzielnica – rodzaj utensyliów liturgicznych służący do okadzania w czasie uroczystości religijnych. Stanowi go metalowa szkatuła umocowana na łańcuszkach i zamykana przykrywką, w którym umieszcza się metalowy koszyczek (kociołek) wypełniony rozżarzonymi bryłkami węgla drzewnego, na które sypie się kadzidło. Substancje żywiczne i różne zioła zawarte w kadzidle pod wpływem temperatury wydzielają aromatyczną woń. W liturgiach chrześcijańskich, zarówno rzymskiej jak i wschodnich trybularz używany jest do okadzeń: Najświętszego Sakramentu, celebransa, wiernych, ołtarza, darów ofiarnych, krzyża, ewangeliarza, paschału, relikwii świętych i obrazów Chrystusa wystawionych do publicznej czci.
