Involution occurs when something turns in upon itself. It may refer to:

• Involute, a construction in the differential geometry of curves

Inwolucja (od łac. involution-, involutio, od involvere, „zawinąć, owinąć”, od in- i volvere, „zwinąć”; spokr. ze staroang. wealwian, „zwinąć” i gr. eilyein, „zwinąć, owinąć”) – wyraz oznaczający jeden z następujących terminów:

• inwolucja – właściwość funkcji w matematyce,
• inwolucja – zmniejszanie się organu,
• inwolucja – wpuklenie blastodermy w rozwoju embrionalnym.
