- Lens (optica), transparant voorwerp om lichtstralen te convergeren of divergeren; zie ook:
- Objectief (optica), ook een lenzenstelsel wordt vaak kortweg 'lens' genoemd
- Objectief (fotografie), idem, maar specifiek voor de fotografie
- Ooglens, een structuur in het oog
- Contactlens, een direct op het oog te plaatsen lens om bijvoorbeeld bij- of verziendheid te corrigeren.
- Intraoculaire lens, een operatief in het oog geplaatste lens, als vervanging van (of soms aanvulling voor) de eigen ooglens.
