AlDub (also known as MaiDen) is a supercouple (or "love team" as it is known in the Philippines) that appears in the Kalyeserye portion of the "Juan for All, All for Juan" segment of the noontime variety show Eat Bulaga!. They are also called "phenomenal love team". Its name is derived from a portmanteau of the tandem's character names, namely Filipino actor Alden Richards, who portrays a fictionalized version of himself, and Yaya Dub (Divina Ursula Bokbokova Smash, a playful reverse-acronym of Dubsmash), portrayed by Dubsmash personality and actress Maine Mendoza. Both joining the program's cast in 2015, Richards first appeared as a host of Eat Bulaga!s various segments, such as the "That's My Bae" portion; while Mendoza originally appeared as Yaya Dub (sometimes, as Lola Isadora) in the show's "Juan for All, All for Juan" segment. Exclusively interacting through the show's split screen frame, the AlDub couple's main communication is through dubbing audio samples of popular songs, films and TV series as well as handwritten messages shown on screen and being broadcast by GMA Network, and worldwide on GMA Pinoy TV.

Ähnlich wie Maid ist es jedoch ursprünglich die Bezeichnung einer jungen und bisher unverheirateten (daher vermutet auch jungfräulichen) Frau schlechthin, zunächst von Adel, dann auch im Bürgertum. Daher abgeleitet ist „Jungfer“ als Anrede für weibliches Hauspersonal (zum Beispiel eine Kammerjungfer). Wörtlich schließt der Begriff Jungfrau nur weibliche Personen ein, die bislang noch keinen Geschlechtsverkehr hatten. Männlicher Gegenbegriff zur Jungfrau ist der Jüngling. Mit der sexuellen Revolution ging die Gleichsetzung von Hochzeitsnacht und Verlust der Jungfräulichkeit allmählich zurück.

Die Jungfrau ist ein Berg in der Schweiz. Sie ist mit der dritthöchste Berg der Berner Alpen und bildet zusammen mit Eiger und Mönch eine markante Dreiergruppe.
