Miscellanea
Miscellanea ist Latein und bedeutet Vermischtes. Das Wort wird hauptsächlich als Titel für Sammelwerke und bei der Kategorisierung von Archivalien, Büchern oder sonstigem Material verwendet. Außerdem:
- Miscellanea Resta bezeichnet Vermischtes, das bei der Kategorisierung übrig bleibt und keiner der gewählten Kategorien zuzuordnen ist, siehe Sonstiges.
- Miscellanea Curiosa war der Titel einer 1670 begründeten Fachzeitschrift mit dem Schwerpunkt Medizin und Naturwissenschaften.
- Miscellanea physico-medico-mathematica war der ab 1730 geführte Titel einer naturwissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschrift, siehe Breslauische Sammlungen.
- In den Musikwissenschaften werden unter Miscellanea Instrumente zusammengefasst, die Töne aus der Natur und dem Alltagsleben nachahmen, siehe Miscellanea (Musik).
