Photographic emulsion
Photographic emulsion is a light-sensitive colloid. Most commonly, in silver-gelatin photography it consists of silver halide crystals dispersed in gelatin. The emulsion is usually coated onto a substrate of glassfilms of cellulose nitratecellulose acetate or polyester, paper or fabric.
