Subscription business model
The subscription business model is a business model where a customer must pay a subscription price to have access to the product/service. The model was pioneered by magazines and newspapers, but is now used by many businesses and websites.

Abonnement
Een abonnement is een overeenkomst tussen een leverancier van een bepaald product of dienst en een afnemer daarvan, de abonnee. Een bepaald product of dienst wordt periodiek geleverd in ruil voor betaling door de abonnee. Voorbeelden waarvoor een abonnement kan worden afgesloten:
- Publicaties: krant, tijdschrift, leesmap
- Diensten: openbaar vervoer, telefonie, internet, betaaltelevisie
- Toegang: zwembad, museum of meerdere musea (museumpas), dierentuin, attractiepark, bioscoopketen

Abonnement
Le mot abonnement se réfère de manière générale à une souscription convenue entre un prestataire et un bénéficiaire pour un même service proposé un plusieurs fois ou sur une période donnée. Il peut renvoyer à plusieurs notions :
- Commande d'un lecteur à un éditeur de presse portant sur plusieurs parutions pour un titre donné ;
- Commande d'un spectateur à une entreprise de spectacles portant sur plusieurs représentations pour une saison donnée ;
- Commande d'un voyageur à une entreprise de transport portant sur l'acquisition d'un titre de transport valable pour une période donnée ou pour un nombre de courses définies.

Abonament
Abonament – opłacone prawo do korzystania z określonego świadczenia, zazwyczaj wykupione przedterminowo przez abonenta na pewien okres. Najczęściej spotykany jest abonament miesięczny – płatny „z góry”. Przyjmuje formę karnetu będącego pisemną formą umowy zawartą między dwoma podmiotami: abonentem, a firmą świadczącą usługi stałe w czasie lub cykliczne. Opłatę abonamentową stosuje się zwyczajowo w przypadku, kiedy trudno jest określić ilość zużywanego dobra czy usługi lub wtedy, kiedy zużycie jest stałe i niewiele się zmienia w okresie rozliczeniowym.
