Eastern Mexico
Eastern Mexico , also called East-Central Mexico , is a region of Mexico, formed by the states of HidalgoPueblaTlaxcala and Veracruz. There are five indigenous ethnic groups living in the East-Central area: Nahuas and Totonac in the west, Otomi in the northwest, the Tepehuas (within the limits of the States of Hidalgo, Puebla and Veracruz), and the Huastecos in La Huasteca region. The rest of the population are mestizosafro-Mexican and caucasian.
