Belthangady Taluk (
Beltangadi Taluka) is a rural
taluka of the
Dakshina Kannada district of
Karnataka,
India. The headquarters is the town of
Belthangady. Of the five taluks in Dakshina Kannada, it is the largest in area and the second smallest in population. There are two towns, Belthangady and
Kuvettu, and forty-three
panchayat villages in Belthangady Taluk. There are thirty-six other inhabited, non-panchayat, villages. The Karnataka Assembly constituency is
Belthangady.
