David Chackler (born in Philadelphia, PA, April 24, 1945) is a music and film executive. He has been an influence in the music and film industry for over 40 years. With several career titles under his belt, he is best known for his launching the careers of several artists, including Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), Queen and 2 Live Crew, one of rap/hip-hop music’s ground-breakers, and more recently, his work with Grammy-winning rock legend Jim Peterik (Survivor and Ides of March).
