Edward Earl "Ed" Reed, Jr. (born September 11, 1978) is a former American footballsafety, who is currently the assistant defensive backs coach for the Buffalo Bills. He played college football for the University of Miami, where he was a two-time consensus All-American. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft and played eleven seasons for the Ravens before signing with the Texans, and later the Jets in 2013. He finished his career with the Baltimore Ravens, signing a one-day contract on May 7, 2015.
