Eluru (Ellore until 1949) is a city and district headquarters of West Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the 16 municipal corporations in the state, and the mandal headquarters of Eluru mandal in Eluru revenue division.  Census of India, the city had a population of .
