Fayzabad (also spelled Feyzabad, Fazelabad or Faizabad) (, ) is the provincial capital and largest city in Badakhshan Province, in northern Afghanistan, with around 50,000 people. It is situated in Fayzabad District and is at an altitude of 1,200 m. (3,937 ft.)
